The Neoen team is proud to announce that the Dubbo Solar Hub is one of 12 Australian projects that will receive federal funding in the context of the ARENA large-scale solar competitive round (http://arena.gov.au/media/historic-day-australian-solar-12-new-plants-get-support/). The tender had attracted tremendous interest from the industry with 77 proposals seeking to benefit from the $100m available funding. This major milestone means that Neoen will move forward with the construction of the Dubbo and Narromine Solar Farms, and early works for both projects are expected to begin before the end of 2016.
The Dubbo Solar Hub is one of 20 projects which have lodged a Full Application to the ARENA on the 15th June 2016. This constitutes the last step of the federal tender that is expected to allocate $100m of funding to the most competitive Australian large-scale solar projects in September 2016.
Neoen is glad to announce that its Dubbo and Narromine sites received development approvals respectively from the Western Plains Regional Council and the Narromine Shire Council, both overseen by Joint Regional Planning Panel. Neoen is glad to announce that Essentiel Energy made Offers to Connect for both Dubbo and Narromine sites. These offers were made on June 14th. This is the last step before the signature of a connection agreement and confirms the avalability of sufficent capacity at the connection point as well as the design and costs associated to the projects connection.
The Development Application (DA), including a Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE), was lodged on Tuesday 26th April 2016.Given the capital investment value of the project, the ultimate approval body will be the Joint Regional Planning Panels. Neighbouring landowners will be informed about the project's advancement.Neoen seeks Development Approval by mid-June 2016, which is considered achievable given the support demonstrated by the Dubbo and Narromine City Councils, in line with the NSW Renewable Energy Action Plan.
