Overview
The Dubbo Solar Hub is a renewable electricity project that consists of two separate solar farm sites at South Keswick & Narromine.
The 28 MW Dubbo Solar Hub is one of the first projects completed by Neoen in Australia.
Watch this ABC Landline interview to hear our host landowner, Tom Warren, share his experience of grazing sheep on the Dubbo Solar Hub.
Sheep grazing and solar farming can co-exist…in fact, they complement each other.
I have seen a 15% improvement in the carrying capacity and quality of wool (revenue) of my merino sheep grazing at Neoen’s solar farm compared to the results from sheep that was grazing land next to a solar farm and in normal conditions. This improvement is due to lower dust and vegetation matter. Access to shelter from and the microclimatic condition under the solar panels is also good for the sheep.
It’s an opportunity and a win-win for farmers and renewable energy producers. Farmers get solar income which is drought, season, and market proof as well as income from the sheep, while the solar farm operators benefit from vegetation control by the sheep.

With a balanced portfolio of wind, solar and big battery projects, we are aiming to achieve 10 GW by 2030.
Our goal is to own and operate our projects and as long-term neighbours, we are committed to sharing the benefits with surrounding communities.
This dedication to community and environment has made us a renewable energy developer of choice. We have invested more than $4 billion in the Australian market and developed over 4 GW of renewable energy assets.
